FAQ
Where are you based and do you travel?
I photograph most sessions in the Golden Isles of Southeast Georgia, including St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and Brunswick. I also serve Northeast Florida, including Yulee, Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, and North Jacksonville.
What is included in my session?
Your experience includes a design consultation to plan the details, a relaxed photo session, and a reveal appointment where we’ll look through your images together. I’ll help you choose and order any framed artwork, prints, or albums you love. The images you select for your artwork also come with matching digital files.
The $99 session fee covers the session and planning; artwork and images are purchased separately.
How does pricing work?
The session fee is $99. After you see your photographs, you’ll choose the artwork and images you love. Curated artwork selections begin at $599, and most clients invest $1,200–$3,500+ in a combination of framed portraits, albums, and matching digital images.
We’ll talk through the options during your design consultation so you know what to expect before your session.
What happens at the reveal appointment?
We’ll meet on Zoom to see your photographs for the first time in a slideshow I’ve created for you. Then we’ll look through your favorites together and talk about which images you’d love to have in an album, framed in your home, or as prints.
I’ll help you compare the options and make your selections during our appointment, so you can feel good about what you’re investing in.
Why choose printed artwork?
If you’ve ever said, “I’ll print these someday,” and then life got busy, you’re in good company. I’ll help you choose your favorites and turn them into framed portraits, an album, or prints you can enjoy every day. I’ve had my “Live, Laugh, Love” sign phase too, but photographs of the people I love mean a whole lot more to me.
What if the weather is bad?
I’ll keep an eye on the forecast as your session gets closer, and we’ll make a plan together if the weather isn’t right for photos. I take on fewer sessions so I can give each family the attention and flexibility they need.
What happens after I inquire?
We’ll talk through what you have in mind, and I’ll answer your questions. Your session is booked once you’ve paid the $99 session fee and signed your client agreement. Then we’ll plan the details together, from the location and what to wear to the artwork you’d love to create.
How long will our session last?
Most sessions last about an hour. I want us to have time to settle in, let the kids be themselves, and capture the personalities and connections that make your family yours. There’s no need to rush through a checklist of poses.
What can I do with my photos?
I offer custom framed portraits, heirloom albums, and matted prints, along with matching digital images when you purchase artwork. I work with professional framers and photo labs that care about the details, so the photographs you love can be enjoyed in your home for years to come!
How will I receive my photos and artwork?
After you place your order, I’ll finish any final retouching and send your artwork to my professional labs. Most orders are ready in about 2–4 weeks. If you’re local, I can hand-deliver your pieces or arrange a pickup. If you live farther away, I’ll have them shipped to you.
Getting to see you open your finished artwork is one of my favorite parts of this job!
Can I purchase only digital images?
My collections are built around printed artwork, so I don’t offer a digital-only option. Every image you choose for your artwork comes with a matching digital file. For example, if your album includes 24 images, you’ll receive those same 24 images digitally, too.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
They don’t need to be perfectly behaved for us to make photographs you’ll love, in fact - I prefer your family just be themselves! We’ll have about an hour together, which gives everyone time to settle in, take a break if needed, and let your kids’ personalities come through! I also take on fewer sessions so I can give your family my full attention.
