Sadie, Sadie, Married Lady

The bride-to-be, Allie and I had been communicating for weeks leading up to the couple's engagement session and her one thing she wanted was "wildflowers on Jekyll". We decided to meet in the historical area of Jekyll. If you've never visited Jekyll Island off of the coast of Southeast Georgia, it's gorgeous and it's one of the best places to get married or do photography at, period. No sooner than shaking the couple's hands, we discovered their beloved puppy, Sadie, had somehow escaped their vehicle. We spent the first bit of their session hunting for the fun loving gal, who we traced through the historical area and found she had visited the Jekyll Island Pool House Restaurant and the Jekyll Island Club Resort. Luckily she was found and we began our photo session.

A Special Memory

The bride-to-be, Allie had worked during her summer months on Jekyll Island growing up. And as a couple they knew exactly where they wanted to go for their session, we visited the chapel on Jekyll Island, the Crane House and the garden grounds nearby. Georgia evenings in the hazy sunshine among the giant oak trees does not get more beautiful. We found little nooks and spaces for the couple to cozy up together.

Wildflower Escape

Michael, the groom-to-be and Allie have busy work schedules, so planning local small escapes is their favorite thing to do together. Sunset over the marshes of The Golden Isles of Glynn County, Georgia.. *sigh* you're more beautiful than we could have imaged and Michael was amazing at dipping, swinging and dancing his beloved whenever I asked him.

When the love is real and sunset is golden, it is true magic on Jekyll Island.
