Planning a Proposal?
To Have And To Hold
The location matters—but the person matters more. I'd love to help you plan and photograph a proposal that feels authentic to your relationship.

Having been married for ahem... quite a while now, it's fun to think about where I'd choose if my husband were planning a proposal today. After photographing dozens of couples over the years, I've spent a lot of time thinking about what makes a location feel romantic, meaningful, and absolutely unforgettable.
Without hesitation, Jekyll Island would be at the top of my list.
The Historic District has so much to love. The massive oak trees, turn-of-the-century architecture, quiet pathways, and undeniable romance make it feel like stepping into another era. It's elegant without feeling stuffy and beautiful without trying too hard.
Of course, I'd also want to end up on the beach. Driftwood Beach gets a lot of attention—and for good reason—but there are plenty of stretches of shoreline on Jekyll that feel private, peaceful, and perfect for a proposal.
There is something almost magical about standing beneath those enormous live oaks. The scale of them makes you feel small in the best possible way, and the setting feels timeless.
One location I've absolutely fallen in love with this year is Epworth By The Sea. Between the moss-draped oaks, waterfront views, and quiet beauty of the property, it's easily one of the most romantic places in the Golden Isles and an incredible setting for a proposal or engagement session.
That said, some of my favorite proposals aren't in the places people expect. I love locations that feel personal and a little surprising. An ice cream shop where you had your first date. The St. Simons Lighthouse. The Cloister Inn, with your favorite drink. In front of the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick. A favorite coffee spot.
Somewhere that tells your story instead of checking a box.
