Booking a session, celebrating the joy
Jill, a fellow photographer, reached out to me to book this session for her mother -in-law's 70th birthday and family vacation they'd planned to Jekyll Island, Georgia. I was more than happy to take on the challenge of capturing her family and getting images printed for them - something Jill had to admit that even as a photographer, she rarely made prints of her own images. We changed all that with this gorgeous beach session. The family celebrated their session with a gorgeous linen album with all of Kris' favorite images for her to enjoy long after the vacation and cake are all gone! Happy birthday, Kris! You have an amazing family!

Driftwood Beach - a favorite beach
Visiting the Golden Isles in southeast Georgia is a favorite for many people, including Kris and her family. This is the first time for many of the members of the family, that they would all be together for a family vacation on Jekyll Island, so naturally we had to visit Driftwood Beach. Known for it's huge oak trees, laying sun-bleached in the sand and epic sunrises/sunsets!

Playing in the Oak Trees
With loads of driftwood trees in the background, the sun hid behind the clouds and made for some dramatic cloudy skies! We started with the entire extended family, next we moved on to smaller groups, creating a portrait of each kiddo, and individual families! Once we had taken some traditional shots, we made room for climbing on the oak trees and easy games to keep the little ones energized and engaged!
