Three Generations, One Very memorable Evening at the Golf Course
Some families make my job easy, and the Templetons were definitely one of them!
We met at Frederica Golf Club on St. Simons Island for an extended family session featuring Kemper and Chris, their three children, a son-in-law, a future son-in-law (though we didn't know it yet!), and two adorable grandchildren. With thunderstorms and lightning moving around us all evening, we weren't entirely sure the session would happen, but somehow the weather cooperated and held off until just as we were wrapping up.
To keep the little ones smiling, I came prepared with one of my favorite secret weapons: a whoopie cushion! Yes, I'm a mom of boys, my first career pathway was to be a teacher. Making kids laugh is the best! Between the giggles, the beautiful Frederica scenery, and a family that genuinely loves spending time together, the evening couldn't have been more fun!
Looking back now, these photographs feel even more meaningful. Their youngest son was enjoying his final years of high school, the grandchildren were still little, and one of the couples would become engaged just a few months later. That's the beauty of family photography—you never quite realize how much life is about to change.
The best part? After their session, Kemper and I worked together to design a beautiful heirloom album and select a statement wall portrait for their home so these memories could be enjoyed long after the gallery was delivered.
Templeton family, thank you for trusting me to preserve this season of your story. You all were truly the best!
