Larrabee State Park
It's a Larrabee tale! Meet Lauren Larrabee, a senior at Squalicum High School in Bellingham, WA. Her family is of no relation to the park's owners at all but people love to mentioned it to Lauren, so she felt it was the best place to take photos. And as a child growing up in Whatcom County, her family used to hike the trails and visit the park often.
Younger days
One of my favorite things about this session was way.... way back in the day, I used to be a teacher and I actually taught Lauren and her brothers in Lynden. It is probably one of my most favorite things watching young people grow up and seeing who they've developed into.
The setting sun
As the light changed from golden glowy, to the blue, hazy evening light after the sun had set, we progressively got bluer and bluer tones. We hiked all the way down to the water's edge and captured a few images of Lauren before the sky was too dark.
Family Support
Lauren brought her mother and twin brother Gavin along to pump her up (and hold her extra items)! Her brother even posed for some photos with Lauren. Without much prompting they seemed to just know what to do - must be a twin thing!
