The Back Story
A few months before, Allie and Michael contacted me to take their engagement photos, check them out here. We rolled in wild flowers, visited Jekyll Island and just basically ran wild for a few hours - well they did, I captured it. It was magic. I loved their session! I crossed my fingers and toes that they'd reach out to me to shoot their wedding whenever they made plans, which they indicated might be over a year away, but no definitely plans had been made at that point!
Flash forward a month and Allie sends me a text... "Hey Lindy, what are you doing THIS Friday?" Me: "For you, Allie I'm free, always! Heck yes!" Allie and Michael were feeling the stress of trying to plan a wedding and buy a home. On a whim they decided they wanted to jump and get the party started! With just a little over a week of planning these two moved mountains. Beyond touched that they asked, I was overjoyed to say yes!

They Say Rain Is Good Luck
Georgia's weather is unpredictable. Being that I am from the Pacific Northwest, a Georgia transplant, I see thunderstorms in the predication and boom, instant nerves. Friday came, and the weather was gray, with on and off again rain. This delayed the couple's time to set up their decorations and made the timeline a little hairy. In between the clouds they managed to set up their ceremony location. I met the couple, and their parents for a first look down on the docks with a peek of the Sidney Lanier Bridge off in the distance. We had a sprinkling of a rain, which made all for the moody, gorgeous vibes and for good luck!

Vows + Cake
For just a week of planning these two made the call for the "wedding day must-haves" which included wedding attire and cake! And being that we are in the south, there is no better flavor than Banana Cream Pie - but in cake form. And yeah, it's as delicious as it sounds!
To the Couple, Thank you Allie and Michael, you are such a special couple. So many blessings to you for your future together!
