Gage and Savanna’s elopement on Driftwood Beach was the definition of simple, meaningful, and beautiful. With only their parents, an officiant, and each other by their side, they said “I do” surrounded by the peaceful rhythm of the waves and the striking driftwood that makes this spot so special!
Savanna’s dad, walked her down the beach to a special tree the couple had chosen together—a quiet, symbolic spot that marked the start of their next chapter. In the middle of life’s big transition—from college students to newlyweds building a future—they chose a moment full of heart and intention. No crowds, no stress—just love, the ocean breeze, and the promise of a life lived side-by-side.
Back to the villas - another wedding portrait spot
We captured the ceremony first, right on the sands, where the bright midday sun gave us the perfect opportunity to experiment with creative shadow shots, along with those intimate ring details. Afterward, we were seeking out some shade! So we headed to the Villas by the Sea Resort on Jekyll Island, where the couple was staying. The picturesque location offered a beautiful backdrop for a few more portraits, adding a variety of images to their collection with oak tree, palms and greenery. Savanna and Gage's special requests? Some sweet under-the-veil shots and to show off Gage's grandmother's pearl necklace Savanna wore —such a romantic and timeless touches to cap off their special day!
