A two part Story - Part 1

When Sarah and JR reached out to me months before their intended date, I wasn't sure about a courthouse wedding for the date they chose, the date- was Veterans Day! It is a super special day to them, their dating anniversary and soon-to-be wedding anniversary! Sarah and JR made sure that even though it was a federal holiday, a Judge would indeed be there to officiate although we wouolld'nt be able to go inside the building due to the holiday.

The morning of the clouds threatened to rain, but held off, as Sarah + JR made their way to the beautiful lawns of the historical Brunswick Courthouse to say their vows. This couple is so into one another, you can tell they're best friends. This ceremony was simple, sweet and full of love. The vows moved quickly and into some sweet portraits of the two of them around the courthouse before we moved to 1509 Bar and Restaurant in Brunswick for drinks. JR and Sarah loved the idea of sneaking a few kissing photos in the elevator up one of the best views of downtown Brunswick. Once inside the restaurant we headed upstairs to the rooftop bar for more privacy, because it was busy already inside. We snagged a few photos overlooking Brunswick before the newlyweds were ready to send me off until next week's reception with their family and friends.

Part 2

Yes, this was an epic two part party! The reception started at Tortuga Jack's on Jekyll Island. Sarah, JR and their families met me to grab some traditional family portraits outside and a few additional shots of them as a couple near the pathway but they were ready to paaaaarty with their guests!

Sarah & JR had reserved the back room, it had space for tables, dancing and a giant taco bar- win, win! JR hand selected the music for the evening and basically everyone danced, ate and drank until the evening was complete. Have you ever heard of a "Ribbon Dancer"... you know the commercial if you're a 90s kid.. ".... Ribbon Dancer. Writing on the wall. Ribbon Dancer. Up and then it falls..." You're welcome, now you'll be singing it all day. The couple brought a bunch of ribbon streamers for the reception and they were a hit with everyone on the dance floor! The whole reception was wild, full of love and fun. C

ongrats JR and Sarah, wishing you a lifetime of dancing to the music together! xo-Lindy
