The bittersweetness of love

Photography isn't just clicking a button. I'm documenting a moment, a moment that will pass quickly and we'll only have the photos left to hold. This family session was one of the hardest sessions I've photographed in a long time. Nyla's family reached out to me to document her last few days before she crossed that rainbow bridge. And while her days were few, her tail still wagged for her beloved people.

Sometimes life is sad, we're allowed to feel our feelings and express them. And when I photograph your session, guide you through the planning and what images to print, I cry too sometimes. Please hug your fur babies, and if your fur baby is no longer earth side, take a moment to pause and remember them too, like Nyla's family remembers her- with love. "Good girl, Nyla!"
